I figure out that i have did a review on this book a month ago literally after i've finished it and i kept it in the drafts .
First , This book is so good that i still have the urge to read it again and i'm actually still hooked.
Honestly Milk and Honey is one of the book that has devasted me . And it's not about the language nor the book's story .It's more about of the emotions transfered in .
The book was devided to four sections
- the hurting
- the loving
- the breaking
- the healing .
They are basically 4 kinds of emotions that anyone would go through and since the writer was a female , every girl would relate so much .
For someone who likes poetry , this was one the most astonishing read ever and i would recommend it even for whose didn't like this style of literature . Plus , It was a short yet full of feelings , you can finish it in one sitting .
Definetly that kind of book where you would stop at each line and say : why so beautifully written or at some parts and wonder how it comes that you can relate to that point .The moment when a book speaks out your mind and touches your soul , it's definely a masterpiece .
It wasn't a pure or traditional poetry , i want to call it beautiful and moving thoughts . And it shows how much talented is the writer to send those so real and strong messages through words and still manages to reach deep inside of you .
I should mention that it's a graphic book too , all those illustrations were so meaningful and beautiful . Here are some of them . (Source from Rupi Kaur Facebook page)
